In a country in which the great American Dream can come true, one dream has come true for former Female World Boxing Champion, Jacqui Frazier-Lyde. _1187360_frazier300The daughter of former famous World Heavyweight Champion, Joe Frazier has accomplished something most boxing fans would consider inconceivable. Jacqui Frazier- Lyde has recently been elected Municipal Court Judge of Pennsylvania in the Philadelphia District. In her lifetime, Jacqui has juggled a career as mother, wife, and lawyer and World Champion boxer. Being a mother of two children both young teenagers and married to her husband, manager and best supporter Pete Lyde.

Jacqui has finally accomplished a dream come true. Instead of being judged in the boxing ring, she now will have the opportunity to be a positive force in our judicial system.

Over the last eighteen years Jacqui has served graciously as an attorney in the Philadelphia area. Educated at American University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Villanova School of Law where Jacqui earned her Jurist Doctor Degree and graduated in 1987. She was a professional boxer starting in February 2000 and had her last professional fight in September 2004.

Jacqui had an impressive (13-1-0) record with the only loss coming to Laila Ali back in 2004. This bout was a recreation of the historical Muhammad Ali verses Joe Frazier bouts of the 1970’s. This time it was featuring the famous daughters against each other.

On November 6, 2007 Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, Esq. was elected Judge at age 46. Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. she will be taking the judicial oath of office. Jacqui Frazier-Lyde will then be known as the Honorable Jacquelyn Frazier-Lyde. Jacqui’s future dreams are to bring equality to our judicial system for all people both rich and poor. She would like to see one set of standards for all mankind. Congratulation to great champion. Source_Eastsideboxing.com
