OSCAR DE LA HOYA Speaks ; On if and Who, Mayweather or Trinidad?

The possibility of who Oscar De La Hoya will fight in his retirement match has heated up over the last few weeks. De La Hoya first reported on DoghouseBoxing.com that not only was he considering a final fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., but also revealed to this site that Tito Trinidad was now also in the fray. Since then things have only heated up. Last week Trinidad told the Puerto Rican news: ''I have always wanted to give Oscar De La Hoya a rematch. He knows where to go and negotiate a future fight.''

Well this past Friday on the Telefutura Boxing Program, De La Hoya only made two things clear. First, De La Hoya has still not even decided if he will continue with Boxing and second, if he does continue, he has not decide who it will be against yet. It's still a toss up between Mayweather and Trinidad.

The only thing De La Hoya has decided on is the fight Date if he so chooses to continue in the sport.

De La Hoya told Telefutura: ''If I decide to fight, it will be May 5 of next year. In time, we will make a decision on whom we will fight.''
