Ca, ca pourrait etre un tres beau combat...opposant les deux boxeurs que tous les specialistes auraient voulu voir combattre Floyd Mayweather. Ce dernier s'y refusant categoriquement ; ou on peut legitimement penser que la bourse en dollars n'est pas assez eleve.
Browsez le net, regarder Margarito et surtout Cotto et vous comprendrez pourquoi, a juste titre il me semble, on aimerait les voir combattre l'infame danseuse. Bien plus qu'Oscar.

Cela etant dit, et a priori pas pour demain, un combat entre ces deux la pourrait etre plus qu'interessant. Donc c'est pas encore fait mais la 'toile' fremit de plus en plus et annonce presque une signature. Comme en temoigne cet article. A suivre...

Margarito/Cotto Still Not Signed, But There's Hope

By Scoop Malinowski, Boxinginsider.com: The boxing event of the summer is still not signed but there is hope. A source close to the situation informed that the Welterweight unification clash between Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto has yet to be officially inked by all parties. Margarito of course is already signed and has been for almost a month. However Cotto has yet to put his signature to the dotted line and "is still dealing with Bob Arum." Also, our source added that Cotto seems to be showing "doubts about himself already.."

In any event, the press/media tour is scheduled to being next Thursday in New York City - of course it all depends on if Cotto agrees to the fight and signs the contract to face Margarito on July 26. It appears it's make or break for Margarito vs. Cotto in the next seven days. Stay tuned...

Vert, ca doit etre la couleur de JMMormeck... David Haye vient d'annoncer qu'il abandonnait son titre WBC Cruiserweight pour se consacrer a la categorie Reine (et demande a l'organisation de le classer, pour ce faire). Et du coup la WBC annonce 2 noms de boxeurs pour le titre vacant...celui la meme que Mormeck perdait il y a qqs mois... Dur!

WBC News: David Haye Vacates Title

David Haye has communicated to the WBC his plans for his future in boxing in a beautiful letter written to the WBC President Jose Sulaiman. David Haye has relinquished his WBC cruiserweight championship and is requesting the WBC to rate him in the heavyweight division, hoping that his second dream, to win the WBC green and gold heavyweight championship, becomes true in the near future.

The WBC wishes David Haye the best of luck in the heavyweight division and confirms complete support to him as well.

The WBC vacant cruiserweight title will be contested between Rudolf Kraj and Giacobbe Fragomeni..

et c'est assez incroyable! D'abord la presentation du documentaire: on est a Los Angeles en 1910, poussiere, chevaux, et habits du dimanche, les serviettes blanches a air conditionne... Ensuite on annonce un match en 45 rounds!!! Et puis certaines choses n'ont finalement pas trop change: les fils d'attentes pour le ticket, un stadium bonde...
Puis vient le combat et la...accrochez vous parce que le style a change depuis ;-)

Ici tout va bien et j’espère que le calme règnera jusqu’à mon départ dans 15 jours maintenant, sauf bazar de dernière minute.

Ca vient de sortir aux US et on y decouvre un boxeur emerite, ayant combattu et battu les meilleurs de son epoque...mais a qui jamais personne n'a donne de chance mondiale. Aujourd'hui un journaliste Americain le rehabilite.

Marvin Hagler Set For Boxing Hall Of Fame Weekend

CANASTOTA, NY - MAY 5, 2008 - Former undisputed middleweight champion and 1993 Hall of Fame Inductee Marvelous Marvin Hagler will attend festivities planned for the 19th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Weekend scheduled for June 5-8th in Canastota, NY..

"It's very exciting to have Marvelous Marvin Hagler return to Canastota for the Hall of Fame Weekend," said Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy. "He's a legend and a fan favorite."

Hagler reigned as world middleweight champion from 1980 until 1987.

He won the title with a 3rd round TKO over Alan Minter on September 27, 1980 and over the next seven years he successfully defended the crown 12 times with wins over Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, John Mugabi and Mustafa Hamsho.

Now an actor based in Italy, Hagler was elected into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1993.

The June 5-8th Hall of Fame Induction Weekend will feature over 20 exciting events including a banquet, parade, golf tournament, cocktail party, and the official induction ceremony honoring the Class of 2008. Living inductees to be honored at the Official Induction Ceremony on Sunday, June 8th are heavyweight champion Larry Holmes, junior welterweight champion Eddie Perkins, promoters Mogens Palle and Frank Warren and journalists Dave Anderson and Joe Koizumi. Alors voici l'agenda des prochains jours: le club est ferme le jeudi 8 mai et le lundi 12 mai.

Donc pour les courageux il y a entrainement le samedi 10 mai

C'est la couverture de Ring Mag ce mois ci aux USA et c'est le prochain grand match annonce...le 7 Juin 2008; World Middleweight Championship

Undefeated World Middleweight Champion, Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik, defends his title against the #1 Contender Gary "The Rocket"          Lockett. Pavlik has beaten all 33 of his opponents, 29 by Knock Out.

         In February he defeated 2000 Olympic Bronze Medalist and          former Undisputed Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor. It was the second time he defeated Taylor.

Gary Locket has soundly defeated every boxer he has faced as a professional, most of them by Knock Out. Lockett has one avenged loss. Pavlik and Lockett are both "Knock Out artists" gaining victory by KO in 80% of their matches.
